Every now and then I like to go off on bicycle trips. Seeing Bonson Lam's article about Kyo-Tango reminded me of my Tango Peninsula adventure. On an August morning I took the train to Amano Hashidate and unpacked my bike. I explored Amanohashidate for a couple of hours. For me the highlight was definitely the revolving bridge! Then I rode along the coast, passing sandy beaches and squid boats, to the beautiful fishing village of Ine, where the houses are built right on the waterline, opening either side for both boats and cars! Finally I found a spot to pitch my tent, and the first day of my trip was over.
