Odawara Plum Walk 2021

Enjoy plum blossoms on foot around the Odawara area

When
Jan 30th - Feb 28th 2021

Odawara is blessed with several venues to enjoy seasonal plum blossoms, and the Odawara Plum Walk event takes advantage of the abundant natural beauty in the area. From the end of January through until the end of February, visitors will be encouraged to walk and appreciate the fragrant blooms at two locations: the Odawara Castle Ruins Park and the Soga Plum Grove.

A walking tour theme was specifically decided on for 2021 instead of the usual festival event to prevent against large groups congregating in the one place.

Admission to the venues is free, but there is a charge if you plan to visit the Odawara Castle Tower when you're there (510 yen for adults).

Getting there

The Odawara Castle Ruins Park is located around 10 minutes on foot from the east exit of Odawara Station, served by various lines including the Tokaido Main Line and the Tokaido Shinkansen.

The Soga Umebayashi venue is around 20 minutes on foot from JR Shimosoga Station, served by the Gotemba Line. The street address is 807-17 Sogabessho, Odawara City, Kanagawa.

For those planning to drive, several paid lots have been organized for the event at a charge of 500 yen per vehicle. Details about the available lots can be found on the official event website.
