Jokomyo-ji Temple is located in a valley almost at the middle of JR Kita-Kamakura and Kamakura Station. Cheery blossoms, weeping cherry, Japanese iris, azalea, crape myrtle, bushclover, and other flowers bloom in each season. The garden is open to the public everyday between 9 AM and 4 PM. From the top of the temple grounds, we can see a hilly view of Kamakura. For a few hours (10-12AM and 1-4PM) on weekends, national holidays and Thursday, a priest explains about the temple and their Buddhist statues.
