I had never really planned to visit this lake, although it's apparently one of the most popular sights in Akan National Park. To be honest, I just didn't think it was so special. I happened to pass this magic place on my way down on our Meakan-dake hike and I was absolutely blown away by its beauty; it is truly unique. But have a look yourself!

The weather was not even particularly nice, but…
