With a variety of options, dining at the Minakami Kogen Hotel 200 is a real pleasure. In the first floor restaurant, Shirakaba, there is an impressive Japanese/International buffet for breakfast, lunch (weekends only), and dinner. Food items have bilingual labels and easy-to-understand allergy warnings. Simpler fare like ramen and curry are also available within the resort. Restaurant Fujiwara, on the eleventh floor, offers an amazing Italian/Japanese fusion full course dinner. Many ingredients are sourced from local farms.

Dining at Minakami Kogen Hotel 200
Delicious & reasonable meals at a fantastic resort

One of the hotel's winter lunch recommendations - the Matagi curry udon.

The first floor restaurant, Shirakaba

This salmon and udon set is another popular lunch.

Simple dishes, like ramen and curry, are also available.

Guests who bring their own food, or purchase something 'take-out', can eat in this area in the hotel lobby.

This small stand sells tasty soups, hot drinks, and more.

The dinner buffet offers a selection of Japanese and international options.

The sliced roast beef was delicious.

Even those with allergies and special food requirements can be accommodated.

Although most breakfast items are Japanese, there is also a selection of Western choices.

Other Western breakfast foods include scrambled eggs, bacon, sausages, etc.

For those who want a truly gourmet dining experience, relax over an Italian course meal in the 11th floor restaurant, Fujiwara.

The courses specialize in a fusion of Italian and Japanese dishes.

My course included two appetizer plates, a selection of homemade bread, risotto, pasta, a main dish, and dessert.

Akagi cattle are raised 'free-range' in mountain highlands and produce top quality beef. The Akagi beef dish was incredibly delicious and tender.
