A quaint, narrow street in Kusatsu has many treasures awaiting your discovery

Start off the day with a visit to the Kusatsu Hot Springs Museum, located on the third floor of the bus terminal

Be sure to visit Netsu no Yu and participate in the yumomi ("hot water rubbing") demonstration

Take a dip in one of hundreds of onsen in Kusatsu, whether it's in a hotel, a free bath house, an ashi yu footbath or an outdoor onsen

The yubatake is one of the most popular tourist attractions for Kusatsu, as it is one of the largest springs and the hub of town

Tradition meets old-fashioned charm down the side streets

The bus ride up to Mount Shirane will guarantee some great views, and even better once you're at the top

The crater lake at Mount Shirane is absolutely breathtaking

Stop by Kusatsu Choju Ten, where smiling employees hand out manju and green tea in the street

Saiyo Honey Shop has a great number of natural honeys and drinks

There are several shrines in Kusatsu to be visited

Street signs will point you in the right direction
