Following on from a stint at Shinagawa's Warehouse Terrada in Tokyo, The Ukiyo-e Immersive Art (Ukiyo-e in Motion) Exhibition is headed to Fukuoka's JR Kyushu Hall from late June to mid-August 2025. This digital art event transforms over 300 ukiyo-e masterpieces by renowned artists such as Katsushika Hokusai and Utagawa Hiroshige into immersive 3D experiences through 3DCG animation and projection mapping.

Spanning 10 themed areas, visitors will be able to explore Edo-period art in a vibrant, interactive space. Alongside digital works, the exhibition features historical prints, reprints, and in-depth insights into the culture and history of ukiyo-e. Best of all, photography is encouraged at the event, so you can snap away to your heart's content.
