The Fukui Children's Museum is a fun concoction of art, history, and science, with many hands-on exhibits. The museum is quite visual, and includes a lot of large life-like cutouts of people and gadgets. The walls are colorful here, too, which makes it a fun place to be. Although there is not much English support, it's still visual enough to make it interesting...for adults and children alike. There is a convenient, free loop bus service (dubbed the Friendly Bus) leaving from near Fukui Station (in front of the white Aosa shopping center) a few times an hour that stops right in front of the museum.
