If you take the ropeway up to Matsuyama Castle, you may never know of this scenic gem, tucked away in a corner of the grounds on the opposite side of the hill. Once the location of the local lord's living quarters, the property has been relandscaped with water features and flowering plants for every season. In the rear of the garden, a traditional teahouse and small waterfall make for a lovely escape. You can often find newlyweds posing for photos on the grounds and the place is perfect for a romantic stroll.
