The Peacock Aviary is one of the highlights when visiting Shiroyama Park.

The monument of "Light, Wind and Dreams" was erected in 1985. With Shiroyama's beautiful green background this 7-meter tall granite pillar has a stainless steel bird sculpture on top that moves with the wind.

There are several, beautiful hiking paths at Shiroyama Park, that will eventually lead you to breathtaking views of the Pacific Ocean.

Pictured here is the monument "Light, Wind and Dreams" and Tateyama Castle that sits on top of the 66 meter high park.

The Sculpture Path includes 12 modern, artistic pieces of human portrait statues as well as abstract works of art for one to enjoy.

The main entrance to Shiroyama Park located in the city of Tateyama, Chiba prefecture. Free parking is available.

There are many signs posted along the paths at Shiroyama Park to help guide you along the way. Most are translated in both in Japanese and English.

One of the many hiking paths at Shiroyama Park; they can get pretty steep at times, so be sure to dress appropriately and wear comfortable shoes.

Inside the Peacock Aviary are beautifully manicured gardens you can admire. In addition to the peacocks, you can also find pigeons, a parrot, and a monkey.

Seasonal flowers surround the Peacock Aviary and hiking paths.

The oranges were ripe and ready to pick inside the Peacock Aviary!

There were many peacocks inside the aviary: white and the extravagant eye-spotted tail peacocks.

In June, approximately 450 Japanese irises will bloom inside the peacock aviary.
