This December, one of Japan's most loved pop culture worlds meets festive waterfront cheer as Pokémon takes over the Christmas Village at Yokohama Red Brick Warehouse. Running from December 11th to December 25th, the Pokémon Happy Holidays event is timed to celebrate the release of new paid story content for Pokémon LEGENDS ZA, turning an already popular winter market into a standout seasonal attraction for travelers in the Greater Tokyo area.
Set against Yokohama's harbor skyline, the venue will be transformed with Christmas-themed Pokémon decorations, including a sparkling illumination tree powered by electric-type favorites like Pikachu. Visitors can wander among themed huts inspired by the game's futuristic Lumiose City (known as Miare City in Japanese), explore a giant Mega Gift Box packed with hundreds of Pokémon plush toys, and hunt for rotating photo panels hidden throughout the market for memorable photo opportunities.
A major highlight for fans is the hands-on demo corner, where guests can try Pokémon LEGENDS ZA on the new Nintendo Switch 2. The demo experience will be available on select dates during the event period, with short trial sessions offered on a first-come basis or via lottery depending on crowd levels.
Best of all for travelers, admission to the Christmas Village and the Pokémon-themed area is completely free. Open daily from 11am to 10pm and held rain or shine, the event offers an easy festive detour for anyone exploring Yokohama in winter.
